Alice Cooper at the Peoria Civic Center
Alice Cooper at the Peoria Civic Center
Classic Rocker Alice Cooper takes the stage! Alice Cooper will play at the Peoria Civic Center Theater on Tuesday, October 11, 2005, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $32.50, $38.50 and $48.50 and go on sale Saturday, August 20, 2005, at 10 a.m. through the Peoria Civic Center Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, charge by phone at 309-676-8700 or online at ticketmaster.com. With the release of "Dirty Diamonds," Cooper is back in even finer form, promising more thrills, chills and doctor bills. "Dirty Diamonds" is a nod to the British Invasion past while acknowledging the Nu-rock White Stripes/Jet present. Guitars and solos are strip-searched of effects, giving sharp bite to songs like "Woman of Mass Distraction," a smoker's cough sheen to "Your Own Worst Enemy" and testosterone feistiness of "Steal That Car."

Peoria Symphony Orchestra
Peoria Symphony Orchestra
This is a concert of gentler passions, superb songs and fine flights of fancy. Schubert's famous "Unfinished Symphony," surrounded by mastery since its first discovery after the composer's death, is one of the young master's deepest and most beautiful works. PSO Concertmaster Marcia Henry-Liebenow will portray the flight of the lark in Vaughan William's idyllic and luminescent musical poem. Finally, Mendelssohn's impressions of Scotland are revealed in his gorgeous virtuoso "Symphony No. 3." Featuring violin soloist Marcia Henry-Liebenow.
