Dads' Dash is a 5K/1 mile family walk to raise money and awareness for ALS, Lou Gehrig's Disease. It is being held on Saturday September 13th, 2014 at 9am. The Peoria Park District, Central Illinois Jazz Society and Plan Ahead Events are proud to announce An Evening of Jazz With a Side of Bacon and Kegs this September 13th on the Peoria RiverFront. This one-day event promises to be a hit with performances by local and regional jazz performers!

In addition to an excellent lineup of jazz performances, an exciting element to the entertainment will be offered at the inaugural event: Bacon & Kegs is a fun-filled walk around outside tasting component featuring creative bacon dishes in central Illinois.

Other activities will include:
- Miss Bacon and Kegs Pageant
- Bacon Eating Contest
- 5KEG Run/Walk: Serious runners can run the 5k and the not so serious runner/walkers can take the short cut, .05k, and enjoy the several fun stops along the way, including a Bacon Brownie stop, acoustic music and more. The walk/run will take the runners into the event to meet with their families and friends and to enjoy all of the bacon-inspired dishes and, of course, jazz performances!

The event opens at noon. Stay tuned for information on tickets!
