Chelsea Handler is heading back on tour and will be stopping at the Peoria Civic Center Theater on April 13. Tickets will go on sale Friday, January 20 at 10 a.m. Tickets can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com or in person at the Toyota Box Office, open Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Chelsea Handler is a comedian, television host, New York Times best-selling author and advocate whose humor and candor have established her as one of the most celebrated voices in entertainment and pop culture. After a strong seven-year run as the host of E!’s top-rated Chelsea Lately, a tenure in which she was the only female late-night talk show host on-air, she launched her documentary series Chelsea Does followed by her talk show Chelsea on Netflix in 2016. The Mid Illini Art Show is an annual gathering of great student artwork from all participating Mid Illini high schools. Each school is allowed to submit up to 26 pieces of 2-D, 3-D, and Photography combined. The work is then judged by a group of professional artists and art teachers outside of the district. Although we consider it an honor just to be chosen to represent your school, students may also be recognized by receiving a Merit Award, Honorable Mention, or even Best of Show.

Trivia Night with Peoria Historical Society
Gather your team and your knowledge, present and past, of Peoria and bring them to a fun evening of trivia at the WTVP studios, at the corner of Water and State Streets, on Saturday, April 15 from 5:30 - 9 p.m. Early bird tickets are $30 per person until March 20 and $35 until April 14 at 309tix.com or at the PHS office starting March 27. Tickets are not available at the door.
Bring your own team of eight or let us partner you with others, while the PHS emcee, H. Wayne Wilson, tests your knowledge of our city. There will be six categories with one third related to current events and the rest drawing on the fascinating past of Peoria.
Players will want to bring cash in order to buy mulligans (freebies) and play other extra special games. All proceeds will support the ongoing work of Peoria Historical Society to maintain our two museum houses and the collection.
Light snacks and drinks will be provided, but participants are invited to bring their own food and drinks, including alcoholic beverages, to the event.
Doors open at 5:30 and the trivia begins promptly at 6:00 p.m. For more information please call 309.674.1921.
