Mahler\'s Fifth
Mahler\'s Fifth

As part of our 125th Season, we wanted to highlight the power and expertise of the Peoria Symphony Orchestra and Maestro Stelluto, Mahler’s fifth symphony does just that.

This concert is dedicated to a single, massive work, Gustav Mahler’s fifth symphony. Scored for an enlarged orchestra and lasting well over an hour, the symphony has several large, triumphant moments, but it also has moments of quiet intimacy, as in the serene Adagietto.

No intermission.

This concert is sponsored by Sid & Flo Banwart, the Peoria Symphony Foundation, the Conductor's Circle, and The Meredith Foundation, and partially supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council Agency.
