Camp 246-Clay and Process Art:

Ages 4-17.

July 8-12, 2024, 9am-3pm Daily.

This camp is all about creating art using interesting and unique methods. Students will learn fun techniques using a wide variety of materials. We will practice curiosity, bravery and find joy in the messiness with activities such as paint pouring, water gun art, and sun printing. Scientific principles will come into play for many of the projects, as well as elements of design and color theory. While the main focus of this camp will be exploring processes of creating, students will also make beautiful and keepable artwork.

The Pettengill-Morron House has celebrated 150 years! When you visit lean about all of the owners, stories of abolitionists and the underground railroad, what famous actor was married in the home and other stories of Peoria's past along with unique collection of pieces. The house is on the National Register of Historic Places and is owned by the Peoria Historical Society.
