Ages 7-17.

June 3-7, 2024, 9am-3pm Daily.

Students will learn how to take beautiful photos on their own devices. Participants will learn technical tips and tricks, principles of composition, lighting and more. Each day will focus on a different type of photography including architectural photography, macro photography and portraiture. In addition, students will learn about the work of photographers throughout history, as well as make their own cyanotypes through a process called sun printing.

Day 2 of Park-A-Palooza features alt-rock favorite Everclear with the popular local group Cole Hollow!

Everclear, one of the leading alternative rock bands to emerge from the ‘90s, celebrated their 30th Anniversary in 2022. Since forming in 1992, Everclear has enjoyed a lengthy career by any measure, spanning 11 studio releases, including four that have been certified Gold or Platinum, selling over 6 million records, and achieving 12 Top 40 Hit Singles on Mainstream Rock, Alternative, and Adult Top 40 radio, including “Santa Monica,” “Father of Mine,” “I Will Buy You A New Life,” “Wonderful” and “Everything To Everyone,” as well as numerous videos, thousands of shows, and various other accolades, including a 1998 Grammy nomination.

On the First Friday of the month, we are open from 6-9pm where you can come in to look around and purchase pottery.

At 7pm, if you are interested in trying the wheel out during our First Friday events, we schedule 45 minute sessions to take part in this opportunity.  A quick demonstration of throwing a pot is given.  Then everyone gets a chance to try throwing clay on their own wheel.  During this time, an instructor will be available to give hand-over-hand instruction to assist you in making a pot of your choice. 

Everybody keeps one piece (within the scale of a cereal bowl or coffee mug) which stays at the studio for finish work and firing.  When finished we notify you for pickup and, they are food-safe, dishwasher-safe, microwave-safe. 

Cost is $25/participant.  

Ages 5+ (children younger than 18 need be accompanied by an adult)

Please show up no later than 6:45 if you will be throwing on the pottery wheels at the 7:00pm class.
