Join us in our first 2024 Frozen Feet Challenge and commit to a healthier you. Embrace the outdoors during the chilliest season and commit to establishing a healthy habit this winter. We understand the challenges of staying active in colder weather, so we invite you to be a part of this invigorating experience. Moses Pettengill: Peoria\\\'s Freedom Conductor at Pettingill-Morron House Museum

Presentations at 1:00 and again at 2:30 p.m. Newly discovered, in-depth research will be discussed by Corey Curtis, local historian and history teacher. Curtis will enlighten his audience, sharing the efforts of prominent businessman and civic leader Moses Pettengill to lead the operations of the local Underground Railroad.

This year’s presentation reveals functions of the Peoria Anti-Slavery Society, and new findings regarding Black Abolitionists’ participation in the anti-slavery movement.

Admission includes a guided tour of the 1868 mansion built by Moses Pettengill. Miss Jean Morron was the last owner of the home, after which it was given to the Peoria Historical Society.

Join us for Family Climb Time, when local families can experience indoor rock climbing alongside one of our experienced youth instructors!

Free for Members | $15 per climber (includes rental gear) | Free for adult spectators

Please register by calling us at 309-966-0831. Advanced reservation is encouraged.

Adults can spectate for free but are expected to stay and supervise kids under 14 at all times during Family Climb Time.

All new climbers and supervising adults will receive a thorough facility orientation and learn the basics of safety before climbing. This program will run weekly from Labor Day through Memorial Day.
