Featured poet: Wesley Frazier-Keys
Writing and performing became a passion for Wesley Frazier-Keys at a very young age. He is a native of the south side of Chicago and a paraprofessional educator at Art In Motion creative arts school. The art of poetry and spoken word has led him all over the country teaching and competing. He is the 2015 Chicago Grand Slam champion. In 2018, he repeated his win as Chicago Grand Slam champion and as a result, coached the team representing Chicago at the National Poetry Slam. At the 2015 Southern Fried Poetry Festival, he finished 10th out of 200 poets, and in 2021, he finished 8th out of nearly 250 other poets. Wesley cannot wait to see where the Creator leads him on his spoken word journey.

About the band:
Formed in the summer of 2014, Still Shine is a group of like-minded, seasoned musicians blending acoustic roots and progressive bluegrass. Mixing acoustic guitar (Rob Bailey), upright bass (Dave Frye), harmonica (Andy Passie), banjo (Steve Hatfield), mandolin/ tenor banjo/percussion (Wes Duffy), and tight vocal harmonies they quickly gained in the Midwest. They have shared the stage with artists such as Split Lip Rayfield, Chicago Farmer and the Way Down Wanderers just to name a few. Along with some well received original music, the band performs an upbeat, energetic show you won't want to miss! Visit www.stillshinegrass.com for more information.
