The HUMANe RACE is a 5k run/walk and 1 mile run to benefit the Peoria Humane Society.  If you are an animal lover of fur, feathers, fins, or scales or you are simply looking for a fun way to be physically active, the HUMANe RACE is for you!

The 2015 the HUMANe RACE will be held at the Peoria Riverfront.  Also new in 2015, the participants are encouraged to bring a pet to run/walk the race with them.  There will be vendors set up at the finish line as well as activities/perks for your pet.

Get a taste of the World Championship Old-Time Piano Playing Contest which plays in Peoria each Memorial Day weekend. This lunch cruise features world class ragtime piano players from around the world.

The Illinois Valley Striders signal the beginning of summer with Peoria’s ever-popular Louie Louie Festival! So put on your craziest outfit, grab your kazoo, and meet us at the RiverFront for a night of warm breezes, cold drink, and outstanding live music!

The parade kicks off at 4:15pm and admission is free!

Kids and adults alike will be fascinated by the boat’s tall fluted stacks and gigantic candy-apple red paddlewheel churning through the water. It’s great entertainment for all ages. Trip includes Captain’s Commentary. Gift shop and concessions are available. No reservations required.

These cruises are an hour and a half-long. They begin and end at the riverfront dock in downtown Peoria, with the Spirit cruising up and down the Illinois River.
