On Tuesday November 9th at Water Street Cafe we will be hosting a five course wine dinner featuring Seghesio wines, paired with each course. The Seghesio Family Winery is most well known for their consistently high scoring zinfandels. At our Italian wine dinner you will have a chance to try their estate grown Italian varietals. In keeping with their family's heritage, Seghesio produces many native Italian varietals in California and takes a serious approach in keeping with the family's traditions. We have come up with a menu that highlights these wines specifically with modern Italian inspired cuisine.
Course 1
Prosciutto wrapped cantaloupe with mint vinaigrette and aged balsamic syrup
Paired with Seghesio Pinot Grigio
Course 2
Spicy steamed mussels with garlic rubbed ciabatta bread
Paired with Seghesio Arneis
Course 3
Grilled lamb chops with porcini mustard and lemon, basil oil arugula salad
Paired with Seghesio Barbera
Course 4
Cabernet braised short ribs with mixed herb gremolata and gorgonzola polenta
Paired with Seghesio Omaggio
Course 5
Italian strawberry tart with mascarpone icing and lemon sorbet
Paired with Marco Negri Moscato D'Asti *Seghesio does not make a dessert wine so we are
offering an Italian sparkling Moscato that will go perfectly with the theme of this dinner.
Doors open at 5:30pm, first course served at 6:15pm sharp.
