USS LST-325
USS LST-325

USS LST-325 on Peoria's RiverFront, August 21-28!

Don't miss this living history museum!  The LST (Landing Ship Tank) is an amphibious vessel designed to land battle-ready tanks, troops and supplies directly onto enemy shores.  These ships were enourmously useful during WWII, Korea, and the Vietnam Conflict.  Most LST's were either scrapped or given to other countries.  This is your chance to tour one of the few remaining!  This ship was saved from the scap yard in Souda Bay, Crete, Greece by an aging crew of 50 Navy veterans.  Learn their story and history by touring the USS LST-325!

For more information about the ship, visit www.lstmemorial.org
