We give a demonstration of how to throw a pot.  Next, we let you try by yourself for a short period of time.  Then we give assistance, as needed, to create your own piece which can literally exist forever (unless it is heated to 2500 fahrenheit:). You get to choose the glaze color of your piece. This class qualifies a person to attend open studios and work independently.  Materials and firing is covered in the cost for one piece (approximate maximum size-up to 6" tall x 6" width x 6" length). Everyone keeps one piece. Additional pieces of equivalent size are $5 (covers material and firing costs).  These are paid for after the pottery session, if you create more than 1 piece you wish to keep. Specialty Items are also available for additional cost.  These require additional time, material, and firing. Pieces are kept at the studio for finish work, glazing and two kiln firings, and are picked up at a later date. When finished, everything is food-safe, dishwasher-safe, microwave-safe. Ages 5+ No experience necessary Pre-registration and pre-payment required. Please Fill out the form and submit to register for a Wheel 101 class.  If you have a group of people, all paying together, please use one form.  If you are coming with others, but paying separately, please fill out separate forms.  After you submit the form, you will receive a confirmation email and invoice within a day.  When the invoice is paid, your spot will be reserved. Pentatonix is an a cappella group that's known for their pop-style arrangements that blend vocal harmonies, scat singing, riffing, vocal percussion, and beatboxing. They perform cover versions of modern pop songs and Christmas songs, as well as original material. Their performances are captivating and have made them a worldwide sensation, especially popular with young audiences. The group consists of five members: Scott Hoying, Kevin Olusola, Kirstin Maldonado, Mitch Grassi, and Avi Kaplan. They won The Sing-Off in 2011 and were signed by Madison Gate, a small Sony-owned label, which released their debut EP, PTX, Volume 1, in June 2012. They also started a YouTube channel where they posted videos of their songs, many of which went viral. Their pop-rock covers on YouTube have over 1 billion views. Pentatonix has collaborated with artists like Kelly Clarkson, Dolly Parton, Miley Cyrus, and Lindsey Stirling. They've also appeared on awards shows and late-night television, and made a cameo in the movie Pitch Perfect 2. In 2015, they won their first Grammy and their self-titled album debuted at the top of the Billboard charts. for tickets: https://www.ticketmaster.com/pentatonix-hallelujah-its-a-christmas-tour-peoria-illinois-12-07-2024/event/0700611BA6C32326?fbclid=IwY2xjawGYdtFleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABHZvwhQpseOhTeOL5vsH0zC9ymO9au-_6-7jr096Tma0ok1-6s932DsfLIA_aem_I0k0prLF4iOvVwAOiBU0ZA&irgwc=1&clickid=zZl24rRZGxyKRLXVSZU7Kz58UkCT3oUwE0bY0M0&camefrom=CFC_BUYAT_253158&impradid=253158&REFERRAL_ID=tmfeedbuyat253158&wt.mc_id=aff_BUYAT_253158&utm_source=253158-Facebook-%20TM&impradname=Facebook-%20TM&utm_medium=affiliate&ircid=4272 |
