Learn the basics of setting up a pottery wheel to throw, the proper tools needed, how to prepare the clay through a process called "wedging," centering, throwing on the wheel and how to clean up.

We give a demonstration of how to throw a pot.  Next, we let you try by yourself for a short period of time.  Then we give assistance, as needed, to create your own piece which can literally exist forever (unless it is heated to 2500 fahrenheit:). You get to choose the glaze color of your piece.

This class qualifies a person to attend open studios and work independently. 

Materials and firing is covered in the cost for one piece (approximate maximum size-up to 6" tall x 6" width x 6" length).

Everyone keeps one piece. Additional pieces of equivalent size are $5 (covers material and firing costs).  These are paid for after the pottery session, if you create more than 1 piece you wish to keep.

Specialty Items are also available for additional cost.  These require additional time, material, and firing.

Pieces are kept at the studio for finish work, glazing and two kiln firings, and are picked up at a later date. When finished, everything is food-safe, dishwasher-safe, microwave-safe.

Nyk Sutter-Downs is BACK after originating his "Nyk's Outrageous Cabaret" show series in 2016!! Princess Party was his most popular performance with it selling out twice, so make sure you don't miss your chance to be part of this fun and yes, some times OUTRAGEOUS night of celebrating all things "Princess" - Disney and otherwise!

 

To be clear, this is an adult show and not for the kids. Instead it is YOUR chance to dress up like the Princess or Prince that you are, have some drinks, and sing along as some amazingly talented performers perform your favorite princess songs!!

 

Admission is $15pp and seating is reserved. BONUS - Your admission ALSO includes the Broadway Open Mic that follows 15 minutes after this show which runs until 11p! The bar will open and seating will begin 1 hour before the show at 6:30p with the show starting at 7:30p. The performance will last approximately 75 minutes.

 

Tables seat 8 people and will be assigned based upon the order of purchase. If you are joining a larger group or want to be seated with another purchaser specifically, please indicate at the time of purchase in the "Notes to Seller" section who you would like to join.

Phyphr: Phyphr is making waves with his electro-soul stylings and funky, electronic songwriting.
