By now everyone knows the Contemporary Art Center throws a great Halloween party! A new addition to this year's event on October 29th is a looped video by Macomb artist Bruce Walters called Vultus of more than 100 masks that will be prjected throughout the evening. Many of the masks are specific to Halloween, but many African, Asian and Ntive American cultural masks and sculptures of faces and masks are also included. There are also two photographs of masks from the Grammy award winning metal band Slipknot. That same weekend the video will be projected on the exterior of the Figge Art Musum and at Quad City Arts. South Side Cindy and the Slip-Tones will be dressed to the nines to lead the party charge. Everyone can vote by ballot for the best costume to win a blown glass pumpkin by local glass artist, Jeremie Draper. There will be prizes for runners up also!
