On Saturday, July 4, the cities of Peoria and East Peoria will come together with JMP Radio Group, Methodist, the Peoria Park District, Fondulac Park District, and the Peoria Area Convention and Visitor’s Bureau to launch more than $60,000 worth of fireworks into the skies over the RiverFront. At Approximately 9:30pm the pyrotechnics display will light the skies above both sides of the Illinois River with a unique blend of spectacular 4th of July fireworks syncronized to a special musical soundtrack that will be broadcast exclusively on JMP radio group stations. Arrive early for a good viewing spot and to try food & beverages from numerous vendors. New This year, the Prairie Air Show will present an exciting display of airplane acrobatics before the fireworks. Performed over the Illinois River, the show will run for one hour preceding the fireworks.
