Music Together of Peoria

07/05/05 09:30AM - 12:00PM

Thousands of parents have experienced this musical awakening and have found - or rediscovered - great satisfaction and joy in making music with their children.

Twelve children ages birth through 5 and their parents or caregivers (nanny, grandparent, babysitter) meet for 45 minutes each week for 10 weeks (summer semester is 8 weeks) to experience new songs, chants, small and large motor movement activities, and instrumental jam sessions. Led by a teacher with early childhood music skills, families are guided through an informal but thoroughly engaging music experience.

Music Together® is based on the premise that all children are inherently musical. Our goal is to nurture your child's natural enthusiasm for music and movement during the early childhood years when, as with language learning, musical aptitude is at the critical stage of most rapid growth.

One of the delights of becoming involved in our program is discovering or re-discovering your own relationship to music. You may find that you love to sing, or you may discover that the classes provide you with just the opportunity you need to get out an old instrument you haven't played in years.

Classes on Tuesdays - 9:30 am, 10:30 am amd 6:30 pm
