Louie Louie Parade & River Jam

05/27/11 03:00PM - 11:00PM
One of Peoria's favorite events is here to signal the beginning of summer-- the ever-popular Louie Louie Festival! For 24 years, Central Illinois has kicked off summer with this feel good event in downtown Peoria with the sole purpose of raising money for a great cause.

With help from our friends at the Peoria Park District, The Illinois Valley Striders, the St. Jude Runners, and all the many returning corporate sponsors, this event continues to raise money for research and treatment for the Children of St. Jude.

The Louie Louie Parade once again begins at 3:30 sharp on Friday, May 27th and takes off from the Civic Center Lot on Fulton and Monroe.

The lineup for the music festival includes the best of the best in local and regional bands like The Willies, Bubblegum Jack & JammSammich. Admission to the music festival will be FREE all night.Bring your kazoo and your most creative outfit down to the CEFCU Center Stage. Enjoy the warm breeze, live music, and a cold beverage while supporting the Illinois Valley Striders and St. Jude Runners.
